Mediator & Former Litigator

A 1991 UC Davis Law graduate and former high-profile litigator, Ruth shifted her focus to mediation in 2003 upon moving to Hood River.

Ona earned her B.A. in communication studies and relational conflict management from St. Cloud State University.

She brings 14 years of experience in community mediation, Restorative Justice, and project coordination and design, with advanced training in Family and Elder Mediation, De-Escalation, Agricultural Mediation, and Restorative Justice. Ona is a passionate believer in the power of these processes to open lines of communication, allowing all parties to have a voice and actively work toward resolution that meets the needs of all.

Each USDA mediation case is assigned to a mediator best suited to the specific situation, taking into account subject matter expertise, regional familiarity, and availability. Therefore, additional USDA-certified mediators not listed here are available and assigned based on case needs, location, and scheduling.
